I am an Assistant Professor/Lecturer (Akademischer Rat) in the department of English and American Studies (Linguistics) at the University of Wuppertal.

My main interests lie in theoretical and contrastive linguistics, e.g. in the realm of argument and event structure, auxiliary selection, and syntactic categories. More recently, I’ve been intrigued by language acquisition in multilingual contexts. The latter is what I’m investigating as a member of the DFG-funded network Optionality and Variation in Multilingual Syntax (OpVaMS). In collaboration with C-LaBL at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, I have also successfully acquired the funding for the MSCA-project Closely Related Languages: Processing, Attrition and Exposure (CloReLa), a very brief summary of which you can watch here.
